Choosing Your Wedding Jewelry

First comes the dress, and then comes the venue. After all is said and done, aren’t you forgetting something? You got it! It is the wedding jewelry, one of the most important accessories you will wear for this momentous occasion. Because it is vital to the overall look, here are some tips when selecting one.

Go For Something:

New– When choosing a new jewelry for this celebration, you need to consider a couple of factors. There is the wedding dress, the bridesmaid dress, overall motif, the color, and what you love. The latter is a no-brainer; you just have to choose something meaningful to you, whether it signifies the stone that your husband to-be first gave you, or other memories.

Like any other outfit and accessories, the wedding jewelry should always match the gown. After all, everyone is looking at you, and there will be pictures to remind you of this day. Because of this, everything needs to look coordinated. The ensemble you are wearing should stand out from everyone, even your bridesmaids.

Old– If you do not want to buy, you can always go for an old jewelry. This can take the form of the former jewelry your own mom or nana has worn in their own weddings, or maybe your mother-in-law can let you borrow hers. If that is not possible, just go for a piece that has been in your family for years. It will give a greater significance on that day instead of a new jewelry you just bought.

Fake– Budget is a big factor when choosing jewelry. As you may have already spent thousands of dollars for the catering, venue, and so much more, you may want to save a little by getting a cheaper jewelry. There are tons of fake ones out there, and they do not always look like that. Just make sure that you keep an eye for “real” looking ones to still look glamorous.

When doing all of these, you do not have to carry the burden yourself. Choose with your groom or take a friend with you. Not only does it make the whole selecting process easier, it is less stressful and fun too. Aside from that, a second opinion wouldn’t hurt.
